Today I am going to recommend you a Japanese Restaurant named Akiyoshi. I went to this restaurant many years ago and just had a chance to visit it again last month.
The restaurant is located at the second floor of Taisin Building and it was decorated in Japanese style.
The customers could choose to sit at the normal table or the table that they could put their legs down.
After sitting, my friend and I got a menu which has 3 languages: Thai, Japanese, and English. The restaurant served both a la carte and buffet. In the photo below, the left one was the list of foods for buffet and the right one was the list of foods for a la carte. For buffet, the customer can choose either Shabu Shabu or Sukiyaki. If you want to choose both, you can (just have to pay more).
For the beverage, the restaurant serves fruit liquor, fruit juice, smoothie, tea, coffee, beer, sake, shochu, and so on.
We chose Shabu Shabu Buffet. The sauces and seasoning were served very fast. Frankly, we did not like the seasoning they offered much, so we ordered the Thai garlic and chili.
Then, the vegetable and meat were served.
For me, the quality of the meat here was really really good. The service was also nice. The price might be a little bit more expensive than other Shabu buffet restaurants, but it is worth.
Update: June, 2016
Location & how to get there: The restaurant is located at Taisin Building, Sukhumvit, Phra Khanong. You can go there by BTS. Get off at Phra Khanong Station and take exit 1.
