Benjasiri Park (อุทยานเบญจสิริ) is a public park covering 29 rai which is sometimes called Suan Ben (สวนเบญ) by locals. In the park, there is artificial lake, sculpture, playground, basketball court, skateboard park, swimming pool and so on. Comparing to other public parks, this park is small in size, but it offers varieties of activities. Besides, many outdoor events such as live concerts are held here.
In contrast to Vachirabenjatas Park (Suan Rot Fai), this park is a good choice for jogging because there is no disturbance from riders. The area for each activity is clearly defined. Running one round around the park track is 800 meters. There are many joggers in the morning and also in the evening.
Actually this park is near my home, but, of course, not in a walking distance. Today I came here not to jog, but to have a walk and enjoy the green space.
All in all, this is not a must-see place in Bangkok, but it could be an option if you want to escape from the shopping malls.
Update: February, 2014
Location: The park is located between Sukumvit Soi 22 and 24 next to Emporium shopping mall. The easiest way to go there is to get off the skytrain (BTS) at Phrom Phong station and take exit no.6.
Opening Hours: Everyday from 5:00 to 21:00
