BTS is Bangkok elevated rapid transit system, which is known as Skytrain. With BTS, you can go to the major areas in Bangkok without facing traffic jams. Currently BTS has 2 main lines: Sukhumvit line and Silom line.
National Stadium is a BTS station on Silom line that is located near Pathumwan Intersection, Pathumwan District.

What to see around BTS National Stadium Station
Let’s look at the map. This station is located in the commercial area and has many things to see!
From the map, you will see that there is a skybridge connecting this station with
- Tokyo Department Store and MBK Center, one of the most popular shopping malls for tourists. You can expect to buy cheap clothing, shoes, handbags, and so on here.
- Siam Discovery Center, a shopping mall offering you international brand products. Madame Tussauds Bangkok, the world-famous wax museum, is located at 6th floor of this shopping mall.
- Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC), a nine-storey art gallery building displaying a variety of Thai and international contemporary art works.
Besides, from the station Jim Thompson House Museum, the American businessman house which is now turned to be a popular museum, is in a walking distance. You can expect to see wooden traditional Thai houses and collection of antiques and art here.
From the station, you can also walk to Siam Square, Siam Square One, Siam Center, and Siam Paragon. However, if you are intending to go to these places, getting off at Siam Station is the better option.
