The Platinum Fashion Mall and Pratunam Market are the popular shopping places in Pratunam District. They are close to each other. The first one is an indoor shopping mall consisting of 2 big buildings, while the second one is an outdoor market. Both of them are famous for cheap fashion items such as clothing, accessories, handbags, shoes, and so on.
MBK Center is another popular shopping place in Bangkok. It is located in Pathumwan District, which is a little bit far from the first two shopping places.
The map below shows you the location of The Platinum Fashion Mall and MBK Center.
In this post I will share you how to travel from The Platinum Fashion Mall or Pratunam Market to MBK Center. First of all, you should know that The Platinum Fashion Mall and Pratunam Market are not connected with any rapid transportation system, while MBK Center is connected with BTS Skytrain. So, to travel between these two places, it might not that convenient. Well, you have several options.
Foot + BTS Skytrain
If you want to take BTS, you have to walk to the nearest BTS stations which are either Chidlom Station or Ratchathewi Station. Both of them require around 15 minutes by foot. Then, take BTS to National Stadium Station.
This might be your preferred option because it is convenient. The distance between Platinum/ Pratunam and MBK Center is about 3-4 kilometers. It should take around 15 minutes to half an hour and should cost around 60 baht depending on the traffic. If you come in group of two or three people, it might cheaper than taking BTS Skytrain.
You can take bus no. 93 in front of The Platinum Fashion Mall. This option is cheap. However, I do recommend you to confirm with the ticket collector that the bus will pass MBK Center and ask him/her to tell you when the bus reaches MBK Center. The challenge is they speak little English.
This option is also cheap. You can take the boat at Saen Saeb Canal (Khlong Saen Saeb) at Pratunam Pier, which is located near The Platinum Fashion Mall. Then, get off at Sa Phan Hua Chang Pier (or Hua Chang Bridge). Just only 5-minute walk, you will see MBK Center. Click here to see how to walk to MBK Center.
