When I go to the shopping malls, what I always do is go to the bookstores. Even if nowadays we could buy books from the internet, I still love walking and looking around in the bookstores.
If you read my blog from time to time, you would know that I had a chance to stay 2 years in Europe (one year in Italy and another year in Sweden). I lived in the countries that English language was not an official language and it was difficult to find the bookstore that sells English title books. Well, maybe because I lived in small cities.
Anyway, for Bangkok, you can easily find bookstores that sell English title books. Today I would like to recommend you one of them which is the bookstore named Kinokuniya, a Japanese bookstore chain. Kinokuniya is my favorite bookstore in Bangkok. It does not only sell English title books, but also sells Japanese, Chinese, German, French, Spanish and of course Thai books.
My favorite store is Siam Paragon branch as they have the large manga comic book sections. If you are a manga fan, I do recommend you visit this branch.
Update: December, 2014
Location/ How to get there: Currently Kinokuniya has three stores in Thailand, and all of them are in the luxury shopping malls in Bangkok. The largest one is at Siam Paragon. The second largest one is at Emporium and the smallest one is at CentralWorld (which is still large). You can go to these three malls by BTS sky train (get off at Siam, Phrom Phong, and Chidlom respectively)
Opening Hours: Everyday from 10.00 to 22.00
