September has just passed and now I am writing this post to tell you how the weather in Bangkok, Thailand in September 2015 was. I believe that it will be useful for the ones who are planning to visit Bangkok in September next year; it can be used as a reference when planning and also packing for a trip.
As you may know, September is in rainy season in Thailand. The rainy season in Thailand starts around May. However, this year in August the weather was so strange. Instead of raining, it was hot and it rained not so much.
In the first few days of September, the weather was similar to August, which is very hot. Then, after that, it rained very hard almost the whole month of September. The rain was very strong not only because it was a rainy season, but also because of the storm. There were floods in many areas in Thailand.
If you are planning to wander around in Bangkok in September, I recommend you to prepare an umbrella or raincoat with you. It would be good to prepare a flexible itinerary in which you can change the plan when the weather is not so good. For example, on a rainy day instead of going to historical sites, go to the indoor shopping malls.
What you should know is usually the temperature is not drop much when raining. So, it is not cold and no need for thick clothing. You might prepare a jacket, but you have less chance to use it.
