In the north, Nan, Lampang, and Petchabun are recommended. I myself have never been to all three provinces, but few years ago, I have seen many friends travel to Nan, one of the romantic provinces in Thailand.

North East

In the north east, Loei and Buriram are recommended. I have been to Chiangkan, a district in Loei once; I loved this charming city and its food.

Central

In the central, Ratchaburi and Samut Songkhram are recommended. Both provinces are not far from Bangkok. I have been to Ratchaburi several times; Suan Phueng is a popular district in this province. You can expect to see cute and nice resorts there. The most famous floating market in Thailand is also located in Ratchaburi.
