On December last year, I went to Hong Kong with my mother for 4 days. Before going there, I had done research for months about things to do, where to go, what to eat, and so on. Finally I came up with an itinerary that was not too packed, but was still enough to get to know the city. In this post, I intended to share you guys my itinerary for 4 days in Hong Kong. Hope it is useful.
On the first day, we arrived Hong Kong around 2 p.m. Before going to the hotel, I decided to go to Ngong Ping Village (The Village and the Big Buddha was not far from the airport). So, from the airport, I took a bus S1 to City Gate Outlet. And I left the luggage at the outlet. Then, walk around 3 minutes to the Ngong Ping Caber Car Terminal. The ride to Nhong Ping Village and the Big Buddha with crystal cabin was amazing.
Then, we headed to the hotel. We chose to stay at Fashion Hotel in Mong Kok. The hotel was located in the shopping area and it was very easy to find local eateries. We arrived hotel around 7 p.m. and were so tired. So, we left our luggage, and went to the restaurant to have dinner. That was all for our first day.
On the second day, in the morning we went to Tin Hau Temple at Repulse Bay. The temple could not be reached by MTR. We had to take the bus, but it was very convenient. Loved the ride to the temple and also the temple itself since I was very related to the religious.
Then, we spent the rest of the day by shopping at Causeway Bay and Tsim Sha Tsui.
On the third day, we started the day quite early because we planned to visit 3 temples. The reason that I visited all 3 temples in the same day because they all were on the same route. The first temple was Wong Tai Sin Temple.
Then, we went to Chi Lin Nunnery and Nan Lian Garden which was just only one stop MTR away.
And the last temple was Che Kung Temple at Sha Tin.
Then, we went back to the hotel and had a rest. We went shopping in the late afternoon in Mong Kok. And, in the evening we went to Tsim Sha Tsui. Our plan was to see the Christmas decoration at 2016 @ 1881 Heritage.
We planned to see A Symphony of Lights, the lights and lasers show from buildings which is a daily light show (at 8 P.M. everyday). And, also Hong Kong Pulse 3D Light Show. Well, we were there quite early and it was windy on that day. I did not feel well, so I went back to the hotel. If you plan to see the shows, you might go there around 7.30 P.M. or 7.45 P.M.
On the last day, I did not do anything much. Just walked around the shopping street near hotel and went to the airport to fly back to Bangkok. My itinerary was not tight at all because I did not want to be rush. If you are planning to go to Hong Kong, you might use this itinerary as a base and then add the places that you want to go.
