A review of Chatuchak Park, Bangkok

Chatuchak Park is one of the oldest parks in Bangkok. I myself walked pass this park several times when I went shopping at Chatuchak Weekend Market, the biggest outdoor market in Bangkok.

Last week I went to the market again with my friend and while waiting her, I had a chance to walk around in the park.

This park has a long and thin shape with the lake running along.

And there are several bridges in the park. I remember that this park offered either rowboats or watercycles, but on that day I did not see them anymore.

Some people go to this park in the morning and in the evening in order to run. The distance for one round is about 3 kilometers.

After crossing the bridge, I found the area called “a healthy park”. This area is a part of Chatuchak Park.

The area consists of several stations and each station has an exercise equipment and an instruction sign.

Even the instruction is given in Thai language only, I think the picture could help people who don’t know Thai language.

When I was there, it was quiet and not crowded. And I enjoyed the park so much.

This place is not a must-see place in Bangkok. But if you are finding a place to run in Bangkok, this place could be your choice.  And if you want to ride a bicycle, you can go to Vachirabenjatas Park (Suan Rot Fai) which is not far from this park.
