Lhong Tou Cafe is one of the popular cafes in Bangkok. The first branch is at Yaowarat, Bangkok’s China Town. I have been to the second branch of this cafe which is located at The Market, the new shopping mall at Ratchaprasong District. At this cafe, there is always long queue because of its unique decoration. Well, I was there during off-peak hours, so it was no queue.
When seeing the cafe at first sight, I thought I was in Yaowarat. The decoration was done in Chinese Style.
The interior design seating attracted me to have lunch at this cafe. The customer could choose to sit either downstairs or upstairs.
There were also vintage round tables that I had seen in the chinese restaurants since I was young.
Of course, I chose the upstairs seat.
For the menu, it was written in English. The popular item was Chinese breakfast set.
But since we were there in the late morning, this was what we ordered.
Butterfly Pea Lemonade (70 Baht)
Plum Soda (70 Baht)
I loved that the drinks were not sweet.
Chilli & Garlic Crispy Pork Belly with Rice and Soya Yolk (169 Baht) – This dish was delicious. It was tasty and spicy.
Duck Breast & Chinese Liver Sausage Claypot Rice (159 Baht) – This dish was not spicy, but also delicious.
Golden Shrimp (79 Baht) – This one was also nice; it was crispy.
In short, the food was good, and the price was reasonable. The staff was helpful. If you visit Yaowarat or The Market, I highly recommend you to try.
