A review of Riva Floating Cafe, Nakhon Pathom

Last two week, I got some errands to run in Nakhon Pathom, a small province located only about 50 km west of Bangkok and I stopped by and had lunch at a restaurant named Riva Floating Cafe.

The restaurant has been popular over the internet because of the natural atmosphere and its outdoor seating area. The customers here are people living in both Nakhon Pathom and Bangkok.

Riva Floating Cafe has both indoor and outdoor zones, and almost customer choose sitting at outdoor area.

And, the outdoor zone is usually full with customers. However, when I was there, the area still has some seats left. But, the weather was quite warm. So, I decided to sit inside.

The restaurant offers beverages and cakes. I saw several choices of cakes on the reviews over the internet, but, on that day there were not so many choices to choose.

Here was what I ordered.

For the price, I think it is not cheap. About 100 baht for a cup of drink and also a piece of cake. I’m not impressed with the taste of the drink. It is not special as it should be. But the cake is delicious, not too sweet.

For the atmosphere, I give it five stars out of five!!! Chill and Cozy. Well, I do recommend you to visit this place on weekdays in order to avoid crowd. On weekends, you might have to wait in a long line.

Actually before having dessert at Riva Floating Cafe, I had lunch at the restaurant that was located in the same area first. The cafe also served A la crate, but we wanted to eat Thai foods.

And this is the food that we ordered in the restaurant.

For me, the taste and the price was ok, but nothing really special.

In short, this place gives you a great escape from the city like Bangkok. And since it is not far, you can make it as a day trip.
