A review of The Corner 79

The corner 79 is a bar corner located on Sukhumvit Road between Soi 79 and Soi 81. The place offers delicious local food and chill atmosphere. It is a great place for people to meet and eat.

If you are a local or familiar with the area, I am sure you will know Onnut night market. After that market is closed for a while, we now have The corner 79 in the area nearby.

When stepping into the area, I saw many food stalls selling local food with reasonable price. If you are a foreigner who are not familiar with Thai food and also do not know Thai language, you do not have to worry about how to order the food. The customers of this market are both Thai and foreigner, so the food stalls provide menu in both English and Thai language.

After walking pass the food stalls, it is an eating area. Even if this market is much smaller than Onnut Night Market, it has a decent amount of table seating as well as spots around the bar.

What I like is the pond in the middle of the area. The market is so close to the BTS Skytrain that you can see it from the market.

When taking these photos, it was still early in the evening. That’s why the market was not crowded. This market is usually pack after work. People like going there to eat and chill before going back home.

The photo below was taken from the BTS Skytrain. So, if you stay at the hotel on Sukhumvit Road, you might consider to have a dinner here.
