ASIATIQUE The Riverfront is a new lifestyle shopping center in Bangkok that became popular very fast for both Thais and tourists because of its location (adjacent to Chao Phraya River) and its architectural style (2450 B.E – 2490 B.E or during 1907 – 1947). It has 1,500 shops, 40 restaurants, and 2,000 parking lots.
It is a good place for shopping, dining, seeing, and enjoying in the evening. You can walk around, buy things, and have a nice dinner. I was there around 4.30 pm which is quite early. I recommend you to go there after 6 pm because it is much more beautiful at night. You also can enjoy the perspective of Bangkok with the highest Ferris wheel in Thailand.
Update: February, 2014
Opening Hours: Everyday from 16:00 to 24:00
Location: Charoenkrung Road, Bangkoleam District. Between Charoenkrung Soi 72 and 76. Opposite Charoenkrung Soi 93. The recommended ways to go are
– BTS: Get off the skytrain (BTS) at Saphan Taksin station. Then, take the escalator down one level. You can take Asiatique’s service boat from the pier. The boat service hours are 16.00-23.30. It’s free!!
– BRT: Get off the BRT Express Bus at Rama 3 station and take metered-taxi.
My preferred option is to take Asiatique’s service boat because with this option, you will have a chance to take nice photos from the river.
