Bangkok’s Riverside is full with famous attractions such as The Grand Palace, Wat Phra Kaew, Wat Pho, and Wat Arun. It is a must area to explore for first-time visitors. If you plan to visit historical sites in Bangkok and also want to go shopping in the same day, you can do it. Bangkok is a city that is full with shopping places and the riverside area is not an exception. Here is the list of the places where you can shop and have a great meal along Bangkok’s Riverside.
Asiatique The Riverfront
Asiatique is a lifestyle shopping center which is located on the Chao Phraya River bank. It has 1,500 shops, 40 restaurants, and 2,000 parking lots. You can expect to see vintage and beautifully designed products here. The best time to go to Asiatique is in the evening. You can see detail such as opening hours, how to get there, and my review of Asiatique here.
River City Shopping Complex
River City is a shopping mall which is also located on the Chao Phraya River bank. If you are an antique collector, this is your place. You can find high quality antiques such as sculptures, and ceramics here. Thai silk and crafts can be found here too. You can see more detail of this mall here.
Tha Phra Chan Market
Tha Phra Chan Market is a market well-known for amulet. You can find many amulet stalls and shops here. Besides, there are food stalls and clothing stalls around. The street food here is delicious and cheap. You will see many university students because this market is located next to Thammasat University. You can see my review of this market here.
Tha Maharaj is a new community mall in Bangkok. It is located just next to Tha Phra Chan Market. You can expect to buy amulet here; the amulet room is located on the second floor. This community mall offers visitor a great river view and also coffee café and restaurants. You can see my review of this market here.
Yodpiman River Walk
Yodpiman River Walk is also a new community mall on Bangkok’s Riverside. There are shops selling clothing and accessories, but not so much. The community mall is close to Pak Klong Talad, the biggest fresh market in town. You can see my review of this market here.
Wang Lang Market
Wang Lang Market is a famous market for local. We go there in order to buy trendy clothing, shoes, handbags, and so on. Besides, it is also a great place for street food. You can both shop and eat at the same place. My review of this market can be found here.
Klong San Market
Klong San Market is also a famous market for local. This market is very similar to Wang Lang Market. Both of them are located on the river bank and offers similar products at the cheap prices. My review of this market can be found here.
