As you may know, Bangkok is a shopping paradise for buyers from around the world. Many visitors intend to visit this city in order to do a huge shopping. In this post, I aim to share places should be put into your itinerary for shopping in Bangkok. Feel free to adjust it as you wish.

Bangkok has several shopping places around the town. If you plan to visit them all, it would take more than a week. So, in this post, The itinerary will include the popular ones that you shall not miss only.

Day1: Chatuchak

Chatuchak Weekend Market, the biggest outdoor market in Bangkok. You can find almost everything you want at this market. However, the market is open fully on weekends. If you visit Bangkok during weekends, this is definitely the MUST visit shopping place. Please be aware that the market is too big to cover all areas in one day, and my recommendation is going to this market in either morning or evening in order to avoid sunshine and heat during the day. You shall know what you would like to buy and its area before visiting the market. You can read my post about this market here.

And on that day you can visit Union Mall as well. This indoor market is not far from Chatuchak Weekend Market and you can reach it by MRT. It sells cheap and trendy clothing, shoes, handbags, and accessories.

Day 2: Pratunam

Another great shopping area is called Pratunam. Same as Chatuchak, you cannot visit all stores there within one day. In this area, there are several malls and markets, but the best ones are The Platinum Fashion Mall and Pratunam Market. The former has 2,000 shops within 3 buildings selling fashion clothes and accessories, while the latter is an outdoor market selling the same thing.

Day 3: Sampeng Market

Sampeng Market is a popular market in Yaowarat or Bangkok’s Chinatown area. To be precise, it is a long narrow alley. The products selling there are various such as shoes, bags, accessories, cosmetics, stationeries, souvenirs, and so on.

After visiting Sampeng Market, you might go to Asiatique The Riverfront. It is a lifestyle shopping center on the Chaopraya River Bank and a great place to chill out in the evening.

Day4: Siam Square

Siam Square is a popular area among people at all ages especially teenagers and young adults. Same as above, you cannot visit all the stores there in one day. Siam Square itself is big and full of trendy stuff. Besides, the area is surrounded by several malls that sell luxury brands such as Siam Paragon, Siam Center, Siam Discovery, Siam Square One, and MBK Center.
