BTS fares increase, October 2017

Last month there was an announcement from BTS, a skytrain system running in Bangkok, that the fares on both the Sukhumvit and Silom lines would be increased starting from October 1st, 2017.

For a single ticket, instead of THB15-THB42, the new fares will be THB16-THB44. You can see the comparison table below.

Well, if you are a Rabbit Card Users, you can pay the current fares until March 31, 2018.

From the news, with the higher price, we will have more trains and a better ticketing system. 46 more trains were purchased and will arrive Thailand next year. The new ticket vending machines will have a touch screen features, and some of them will accept notes.
