If you do a research about food before visiting Bangkok, I am sure that Thai tea will be on your list. And, in Bangkok you can easily find Thai tea from the kiosk across the city. But, today I will introduce you the famous brand named “Cha Tra Mue”. You can expect to find its kiosks both in the shopping mall (Terminal21, Future Park Rangsit, The Mall, Central, Paradise Park, and so on) and BTS stations (Asoke, Plernjit, Chidlom, Mochit, Chong Nonsi, Saladaeng, and so on).
The photos in this post were taken at Terminal21 branch. The kiosk is located near Gourmet Supermarket at LG/F.
Cha Tra Mue offers several tea choices. I recommend you to try 2 of them.
The first one is, of course, Thai tea. I usually order it with less sweet.
And the second one is rose tea which is launched during Valentine’s Day this year and then it became popular among locals. This rose tea is well-known for its laxative effect. I tried it twice, and it made me feel colicky.
Besides the drinks, they also have soft serve. So far, I have seen that they have Thai tea, Green Tea, and Rose Tea flavors. I have not tried any flavors yet, but I want to!
The price for the tea is about 50 baht and for the soft serve is about 60 baht.
Besides, Cha Tra Mue also offer several packages that you can buy and make it at home. So, you can buy it as a souvenir for your family and friends.
