Since the blog has been running, the most popular question that I always get from the reader is
….Where to Buy Cheap Clothes in Bangkok, Thailand?…
Many readers sent me questions regarding shopping places. They usually wanted to know the places where they can buy clothes and also accessory items in cheap prices. So, today I decide to write this blog post in order to provide you the markets and malls that you can buy them. I hope you find this information helpful.
1. Pratunam Market
Pratunum Market is the first place that comes to mind when thinking about cheap shopping place for clothes in Bangkok. Pratunam is an outdoor market that sells clothes and accessories in both wholesale and retail. You will get a better price (cheaper price), when you buy more. You can expect to meet merchant, who buy in bulk and resell them at other markets. As you may know, at this market, if you want to get the best price, you have to go in early morning. We call it “morning market”. You can read my review of this place here.
2. The Platinum Fashion Mall
The Platinum Fashion Mall is just opposite to Pratunam Market. These two places are in the same area selling same types of product. Well, Platinum is an indoor mall. Since Bangkok is warm all year long, many people choose shopping in a building that has A/C instead of shopping in the market. That’s why Platinum is very popular. For the price, if you buy more, of course, you will get the better price. Most shops in Platinum sell both retail and wholesale. You can read my review of this place here.
3. Chatuchak Weekend Market
Chatuchak Weekend Market is the biggest outdoor market in Thailand. People say that you can find whatever you want here. So, of course, clothes are included in the list. The market is fully open on weekends. You can buy both wholesale and retail. However, to get the best price is to go to the market at night on Fridays (22:00 – 05:00). You can read my review of this place here.
4. Victory Monument
Victory Monument is a transportation hub in Bangkok. Many people shop here while waiting for the bus, van, and BTS Skytrain. There are many malls/ shops/ stalls around the roundabout. This place is not well-known for the wholesale. But if you just want to buy 1-2 items, I recommend this place. The prices of the clothes here are pretty cheap even you don’t buy in bulk. You can read my review of this place here.
5. Wang Lang Market
Wang Lang Market is popular not only for clothes, but also for food. There are many delicious food stalls at this market. The prices of clothes at this market is not high because the main customers here are locals and many of them are high-school students and university students. The market is located near the university. It is not well-known for the wholesale, but you can expect to find second-hand clothes here. The only drawback of this place is it cannot be reached by BTS. You can read my review of this place here.
6. Klong San Market
Klong San Market is an outdoor market that you can expect to see many local here. The shop here sells trendy clothes, dresses, T-Shirts, shoes, handbags, cosmetics, and so on at budget prices.
