Christmas and New Year 2018 in Bangkok

Christmas 2017 has just passed, but I just have a chance to update my blog on the Christmas and New Year 2018 decorations in Bangkok. As you may know, last year we lost our beloved king and we were in period of mourning. So, the decoration last year was done neatly in few places. Well, this year things are back to normal. You can see colourful Christmas tree many places in Bangkok. For this blog post, I intend to show you the decorations that you can expect to see, if you visit Bangkok during December.

The Emporium and The Emquartier

The Emporium and The Emquartier connect to each other with the bridge. You can easily walk from The Emporium to The Emquartier and vice versa. This year, these two shopping malls come in Giant Polar Bear and friends. The 12-meter tall polar bear is sitting in front of the mall between the buildings.

Siam Square One

At Siam Square One, the most attractive thing for me is the Christmas Tree from Samsung. I am not sure how many mobile phones and tablets are on the tree.

MBK Center

For MBK Center, the big and colorful Christmas Tree are in front of the mall.

Siam Discovery

On the bridge connecting Siam Discovery to Siam Center, there is snowflake hanging decoration. The bridge is full with people taking photos when I was there.

Siam Paragon

Siam Paragon is another popular places for local to take photos during Christmas.

CentralWorld

The square in front of CentralWorld is well-known for the Christmas decorations, and this year it is decorated gorgeously as always.

Ratchaprasong Intersection

The bridge at Ratchaprasong Intersection is decorated similar to the year before.

Gaysorn Village

In front of Gaysorn Village.

InterContinental Bangkok

In front of InterContinental Hotel

Central Chidlom

Central Chidlom and Central Embassy come in the same theme. The majority of decoration consists of balloon. I myself love the decoration at these two shopping malls most.

Have you ever walked around Rachaprasong area or Phrom Phong in December? Do you like the Christmas lights in Bangkok? Share your experience with me in the comments!
