Decathlon is a French sporting goods retailer which currently has 9 stores in Thailand. The stores sell quality sportswear and sports equipment products for running, cycling, gym, camping, and so on in affordable prices.
I myself have only been to Rama IV branch, so all photos in this blog post were taken at this branch. Decathlon Rama IV branch is located at second floor, Tesco Lotus Rama IV. When I first saw the shop sign, I was very impressed with the size of the store and also the wide varieties of products.
I first saw the equipment for wave sports and swimming. Frankly, I did not pay attention much to this section, since I was interested in yoga, running, and workout equipment for home.
I then found the wide varieties of sportswear for both men and women.
Then, the sportswear and equipment for yoga and pirates. I did not expect to see A LOT of products like this. I planned to go back and buy many things!
Next section was bicycle.
They also had walking shoes, a section for golf.
Besides, you can expect to see equipment for camping, wildlife watching, fishing, and so on.
If you are not sure whether they have the product that you are interested, you can check at its website.
On the day that I visited the shop, I wanted to buy running belt black and I could not find it. The staff was nice and willingly helped me without hesitation. I was impressed with the service. And, what surprised me was there were so many foreigners in the shop instead of Thais.
Update: December, 2017
Location/ How to get there: From its website, currently Decathlon has 9 branches in Thailand. Seven of them are in Bangkok, and the rest are in Chiang Mai and Pattaya.
Website: https://www.decathlon.co.th/en/ (You can buy the product from its website directly. For anyone who would like to see the real product before making an order like me, you can also check the product availability from its website. I like that the product availability is shown by branch, so I know the branch that I should visit in order to check and buy the product.)
