What to see around BTS Sala Daeng Station
Let’s look at the map.
Silom area is one of the main business areas in Bangkok. The area is full with office buildings. From the map, you will see that Silom is an interchange station. It connects with MRT Subway at ‘Silom Station’. So, you can change from BTS to MRT or vice versa here. Some tourist chooses to stay around this station because it is an interchange station and this station is also close to Saphan Taksin Station, a BTS station that connects with Chao Phraya Express Boat.
From the station, there is a skybridge connecting you to Silom Complex, a shopping mall offers you a wide range of restaurants.
Lalai Sap Market, a famous market among office workers, is only 5-minute walk from the station. At this market, you would find stalls selling local foods and fashion clothing.
Lumpini Park is also in a walking distance. This park offers a variety of activities such as bike path, lake, jogging lane, swimming pool, library, and so on.
In the evening, the area becomes lively. From the station, you can walk to Patpong, a famous red light district in Bangkok. You can expect to see bars, restaurants, and street food on the two side streets running between Silom Road and Surawong Road.
