Chatuchak Weekend Market is the biggest outdoor market in Thailand. It is big enough to make you get lost in the market for an entire day. This market offers a unique shopping experience and you can find almost everything you want here.
Union Mall is another great shopping mall which is well-known for local, but not so popular for tourists. This mall sells cheap and fashionable clothing and accessories. It is located at Lat Phrao junction.
In this post I will share you how to get from Chatuchak to Union Mall. Chatuchak Market connects with both BTS Skytrain and MRT Subway, while Union Mall connects with only MRT Subway. So, to travel between these two places, I do recommend you to take MRT Subway.
Chatuchak connects with 2 MRT Stations: Chatuchak Park Station and Kampheng Phet Station. You can take MRT Subway at the station that is close to you. Then, get off at Phahon Yothin Station and take exit 5.
Actually there are bus passing these two places, but I do not recommend because you will have more chance to get into traffic chaos. Taxi is also not recommended because of the same reason.
If you go to Chatuchak and on that day the weather is too hot to wander around in the outdoor market, you can just take the MRT to Union Mall. The prices of the products are about the same, but it is more comfortable when shopping in an air-conditioned building.
Enjoy Traveling Bangkok!
