Yaowarat or Bangkok’s Chinatown is a place where you can see Thai-Chinese community. It is well-known for delicious street food and cheap market. Yaowarat is a busy area both during the day and at night. It is one of the Bangkok’s point of interest.
Khao San Road is a short lively street where many backpackers choose to stay when travelling to Bangkok. This street is full with pubs, restaurants, street food stalls, and hostels.
To commute between these two places, it is not quite easy. Even if Bangkok has rapid train systems cover many important areas, these two places do not connect with rapid train either BTS or MRT. Here are my recommended options to commute between Khao San Road and Chinatown.
Taxi is the easiest option. The distance between Khao San Road and Chinatown is about 4.5 kilometers. It should take around half an hour and the taxi fare should be less than 100 baht. Well, please bear in mind that the time and the fare depend on the traffic.
Chao Phraya Express Boat
Since Yaowarat Road and Khao San Road are not far from the pier, you might commute by Chao Phraya Express Boat. Yaowarat Road is less than 10-minute walk from Ratchawong Pier, while Khao San Road is less than 15-minute walk from Phra Arthit Pier.
Hope this helps
