Sukhumvit is a long road starting from Bangkok and passing several provinces in Eastern Thailand. In Bangkok, Sukhumvit Road is the main commercial road in Bangkok. There are many shopping malls, hotels, restaurants, office building on the road. It is an area that you can see both tourists and locals living in.
Chatuchak Weekend Market is one of the must-visit places in Bangkok. It is the biggest market in town offering visitors a unique shopping experience. In this market, there are 15,000 stalls selling a wide range of products such as food, furniture, souvenirs, artworks, t-shirts, dresses, shoes, earrings, books, pet, plant, and so on.
In this post, I will share you how to get from Sukhumvit Road to Chatuchak Weekend Market. Chatuchak connects with BTS Skytrain and MRT Subway, while many areas on Sukhumvit Road connect with BTS Skytrain and only some areas connect with MRT Subway.
If the area on Sukhumvit Road that you are staying is close to MRT Subway, I do recommend you to take MRT subway and get off at Kampheng Phet Station which is located in the middle of Chatuchak Market. Well, if there is no MRT station around, I recommend you to take BTS Skytrain and get off at Mo Chit Station. From the station, you have to walk for 5-10 minutes to reach the market. But you do not have to worry about getting lost. From the BTS Skytrain, usually there are many people walking with you to the market.
You can take taxi or bus from Sukhumvit to Chatuchak Market, but I do not recommend. It usually takes longer time to reach the destination.
Hope this information helps!
