Pattaya is one of the most popular destinations in Thailand. It is a beach resort town located in Chonburi Province which is considered not far from Bangkok, so it is one of the places that many people in Bangkok choose to go on weekends.
The distance between Bangkok Airport (Suvarnabhumi Airport) and Pattaya
Many tourists fly to Bangkok and leave it immediately in order to go to Pattaya. The distance between Bangkok Airport (Suvarnabhumi Airport) and Pattaya is about 120 kilometres and it takes around 1 hour and a half or more depending on the congestion.
From the airport, you can go to Pattaya directly by taking:
Taxi is the most convenient option. Well, as you may know, it is the most expensive option as well. It might take around 1,200 baht to 1800 baht or more. The taxi rates depend on the company and type of taxi.
Since Pattaya is a popular destination, there are buses from Suvarnabhumi Airport going directly to Pattaya. You can buy a ticket at the 1st floor. The counter is located near gate number 8.
Bus Schedule/ Timetable
There is a bus leaving the airport to Pattaya every hour from 7.00 to 21.00 as shown below. The fare is 120 baht per seat. (This information is updated on June 2016)
7.00, 8.00, 9.00, 10.00, 11.00, 12.00, 13.00, 14.00, 15.00, 16.00, 17.00, 18.00, 19.00, 20.00, and 21.00
If you are a budget traveler, do consider the bus. It is much cheaper.
