It gets better is a Thai drama movie that was released in 2012. The movie stars Penpak Sirikul, Parama Imanothai, Panupong Waraeksiri, Nuntita Khampiranon, Pavich Saprungroj, and Kisthachapon Tananara.
It gets better has 3 parts. The first part is about the middle-aged transsexual who is going to live her life in a remote village in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand and fall in love with a handsome young man that she meets since her arrival. The second part is about a young man who is going back to Thailand from the US in order to close down and sell a ladyboy bar that he has got from his father. During his time in Thailand, he has a chance to meet a ladyboy who made him confused. The third part is about a high school boy who is sent to a temple after his father accidentally sees him in women’s cloth.
I did not set any expectations with this movie. Actually I hesitated to watch it. But because of the positive feedbacks that I read on a web board, I decided to watch it. The movie is shot beautifully and reflects the transsexual’s life. The three stories are related and I was astounded by how they are related!
Here is an international movie trailer. Enjoy watching!
