Yesterday I have been to K Village, a very first community mall in Bangkok. Actually I have been to this mall many times. This open-air shopping mall is a great place to chill out with family and friends.
K Village is a two-storey building that is located on Sukhumvit 26. This place is full with trendy boutique shops, restaurants, and supermarkets. You can see the name of the shop from its website.
Yesterday, the mall is more crowded than ever because there is a street market. The open space is full with stalls and people coming to shop here.
This community mall is quite big and has many shops. But, frankly I do not like its location because it does not connect with the BTS or MRT. I prefer the mall that is located on the main road, and can be easily accessed by public transportation.
If you are a fan of Japanese food, you can walk to Nihonmachi, a Japanese community mall, which is located next to the K Village.
Update: February, 2015
Location/ How to get there: K Village is located on Sukhumvit Soi 26. If you come by BTS, get off at Phrom Phong station. It would take you around 20-minute walk from Phrom Phong station to the mall. You can take a motorcycle taxi. You can access this community mall from Rama 4 Road. It is located behind Big C Rama 4, near Maleenon Tower (Channel 3 Tower).
Opening Hours: Everyday from 10.00 to 22.00 (Please bear in mind that the shops have different opening and closing hours. You can call the shops to ask for their service hours before going to the mall)
Every third weekend of the month, there will be a K Village street market (Friday from 17.00 to 22.00, and Saturday and Sunday from 10.00 to 22.00).
