Photo Story: Love Lock

Photo Name: Love Lock

When: April, 2013

Where: Karlskrona, Sweden

Story behind:

Have you ever seen love lock? Couples wrote their names on the locks, attach them to the tree or the fence, and toss their keys to symbolize unbreakable love.

I first saw the love lock at N Seoul Tower in South Korea. I then saw the love lock again at Juliet’s house in Verona and around the bridge in Florence. Well, in Florence love lock was treated as vandalism. I saw a prohibited sign telling people not to hang locks and violator would be fined 160 Euros. Anyway, I saw many locks near the sign.

This photo was taken in Karlskrona, the small city I lived in. It seems like now we can see the love lock not only touristy cities, but everywhere in the world.

I do not know why this idea has spread all over the world. Do you like it? Or do you think it is ridiculous?
