I believe that when you visit Thailand, you would definitely not visit only one city. You might start from Bangkok wandering around the capital city first. Then, you might either want to fly to Northern of Thailand or Southern of Thailand. Thailand has many transportation modes offering for tourist to travel around the country. You can travel by bus, train, or plane. In this post, I would like to recommend you three popular budget airlines that fly within Thailand.
Airasia is the most popular low cost airline based in Malaysia. This airline does not fly only in Thailand, but all over Asia. Airasia always offers good deals. The best promotion that everyone know is ‘0 baht’ or ‘free seats’. Even if we have to book the ticket early (about 5-12 months in advance), everyone still want it. On the first day of the promotion, website was always down due to traffic.
I recommend you to plan your trip early and look for a promotion. If you cannot get ‘0 baht’, do not worry. The next deals like ’99 baht’ or ‘299 baht’ will be announced in the next few months.
Please bear in mind that all AirAsia flights fly from Don Mueang Airport (DMK), the old Bangkok airport.
Nok Air is a budget airline based in Bangkok. This airline also does not fly only in Thailand, but also other countries such as Laos, and Myanmar and always offers good deals. But, I have never heard ‘free seats’ promotion for Nok Air.
Same as AirAsia, all Nok Air flights fly from Don Mueang Airport (DMK), the old Bangkok airport.
Thai Smile is a budget airline based in Bangkok. This airline also flies mainly in Thailand and also offers good deals. Thai Smile flights fly from both Don Mueang Airport (DMK) and Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK).
If you decide to fly within Thailand, I do recommend you to look at all these three websites in order to find the best deal. It is possible to get a cheap flight ticket which is cheaper than bus or train tickets
Have you ever flown with these three budget airlines? How was your experience? Share it with me in the comment!
