Sai See Plerng… a Thai drama lakorn

Sai See Plerng is a Thai drama lakorn that originally aired in 2014 on Channel 3. The lakorn stars Araya A. Hargate (Chompoo), Chakrit Yamnarm (Krit), Nattawut Skidjai (Poh), Alek Teeradetch, and Nittha Jirayungyurn (Mew).


Sai See Plerng can be translated as “Fire Colored Sand” in English. The story is about Sai or Sandy, a young woman, who was born in Thailand and grew up in The United States. Sai is a daughter of Duangta, an adoptive daughter of a rich couple, and Sok, a son of a rich couple. Sok’s mother does not accept Duangta as a daughter-in-law, and she is finding someone to marry her son. Finally Sok gets married Saowanee and years later they have a daughter named Looksorn. Duangta and Sai have never got accept from people in the house. They are treated as servants and finally one day they decide to leave.

Years later, Sai becomes a beautiful, rich, smart young woman. She came back to Thailand in order to join her grandmother’s funeral. Even if she has everything in life, she still wants to revenge. She started a plan to hurt Sok, Duangta, and Looksorn. In her plan, there were three guys getting involved: Buri, Charles, and Patchara. Well, we could not play with other people feeling. Things are not going as planned. Let’s see what Sai learns from her revenge.

This lakorn was built based on a novel named Sai See Plerng. I do love this novel and read it several times. It was produced as a lakorn once in 1996 and the second time in 2014. As I remember, the first version was popular around the town. This version got many negative feedbacks. For me, I like this version more. Many people said that Sai in this version is too crucial, but I think this version is more similar to the novel.
