Self Check-in at Suvarnabhumi Airport (Bangkok Airport)

In March, when I went to Suvarnabhumi Airport in order to fly to Vientiane, I saw many yellow kiosks at the airport. Since the Bangkok Airways check-in queue was very long, one of the officers recommended me to check-in through these kiosks. Today I am going to recommend you the kiosk which saved my time from the long check-in queue at Suvarnabhumi Airport.

These kiosks are Self Service Check-in machine; you might have seen it at other airports before. This machine helps the passengers save time waiting in the long queue. The kiosks are located at 4th floor – Departure Hall and currently they support 14 airlines (June,2016).

  • KLM Royal Dutch
  • Air France
  • Cathay Pacific
  • Lufthansa
  • Austrian Airlines
  • Delta Airlines
  • Bangkok Airways
  • EVA Air
  • Aeroflot
  • El Al Israel Airlines
  • Thai Airways
  • EgyptAir
  • British Airways
  • Philippine Airlines

You can check-in by using one of these numbers: Frequent Flyer Number, Ticket Number, or Passport. After finishing checking your information, you are able to select the seat. Then, you will get the boarding pass from the machine.

What you have to do next is bag-drop queue which is usually not long like the check-in queue. Then you are done with the check-in process.

Since these kiosks are new to the Bangkok Airport, the passengers are encouraged to use them. AOT (Airports of Thailand) and King Power give passengers some discount when shopping and eating at the airport. So, don’t forget to check the promotions and conditions.
