Sukhumvit, Silom, Sathorn, Phaya Thai… it is hard to catch a taxi

Taxi drivers refuse to take a passenger or cheat a passenger is one of the problems in Bangkok. About a month ago, I have recommended you an application named “DLT Check-in” from Department of Land Transportation (DLT). It is an application to get feedback from passengers who use the taxi service in Bangkok.

From the news, currently the application has been downloaded almost 30,000 times and got the feedback 11,185 times. 1,832 times were complaints about refusing to take passengers and most of them happen at Sukhumvit, Silom, Sathorn, and Phaya Thai during 17.00-22.00. 4,518 times were recommendations to improve the services, while 818 times were good feedback.

So far, 11 taxi drivers have their licenses revoked. The complaints about the car condition and cleanliness are also taken into account. Besides, there is a plan to enhance the application to get feedback from passengers who use other public transportation modes such as bus and minivan.

Now people who use the taxi services in Bangkok can help improving the services. Things have been working well, but it would be better if more people use this application. If you have a chance to use a taxi in Bangkok, please download this application and give the feedback. Only together we can make a change!
