Tha Maharaj or Maharaj Pier is a pier and also a new community mall on Chao Phraya River bank.
Last weekend my friend and I have been to this community mall. On that day the weather was quite hot, but it was not that bad because of the wind from the river.
The place was not so crowded; there are both local and foreigners walking around and taking photos.
Like other community mall in town, this place has coffee and bakery shops and restaurants.
On the second floor, there is an amulet market room.
If you go by bus, you will see a big sign at the gate. After entering the gate, on your left hand, you will see bicycles on the wall and a painting of peeing dog.
Since this community mall is located near historical places in Bangkok such as Wat Phra Kaew and The Grand Palace. So, if you have done finish visiting those attractions and feel tired, you can go there; have a rest in an air-conditioned coffee café or restaurant with a great river view.
