The Platinum Fashion Mall… Let’s go shopping
Do you want to buy clothes, shoes, handbags, and accessories at a cheap price? Do you want to escape from the heat in Bangkok?
If the answer is yes, The Platinum Fashion Mall is a place for you.
The Platinum Fashion Mall is an indoor wholesale and retail shopping complex which specializes in fashion clothes and accessories. This mall has two buildings with a connecting bridge on the second floor. The bigger building is divided into 2 zones: zone 1 and zone 2. The smaller building is called zone 3. In total there are 2,000 shops here.
In the bigger building, the shops from B floor to 4th floor sell woman clothes. Only the shops on 4th floor, zone 2 sells man clothes.
The shops on 5th floor sell children clothes and accessories.
On 6th floor there is a big food center. If you’re tired with shopping, you can enjoy eating here. Then, continue shopping!
Bags, leathers, and shoes could be found in the smaller building from 3rd floor to 5th floor ( types of shoes and bags that you can find in this mall are available in this post). In this building, the shops on the 1st and 2nd floor sell woman clothes.
Comparing to Chatuchak weekend market, I like this mall more because it’s air-conditioned and the shops here are more organized. You won’t see everything is mixed in the same floor. For me, it is a must-see shopping place. I always go to this mall when I need a nice dress. Many of my working clothes were bought from here. Usually I will not go there alone because when we buy more, we will get discount. If we buy one item, we will get the retail price. But, if we buy three (or only two) items from the same shop, we will get the wholesale price. So, why don’t I go with my friends? The price of the dress is around 100-300 baht.
4 Things you should know before you go there
– Cash is a must! Most shops accept only cash payment. The ATM machines are available in the mall.
– It takes day if you want to explore all shops. So, be prepared!
– Most shops are for ladies and no fitting rooms are available in the restrooms. BUT, they do not allow you to try on the clothes. It means you have to buy the products first.
– Most clothes are free size which means standard size. Only some shops have larger sizes available.
P.S.
- For wholesale shopping, you might consider visiting Pratunam Market which is located just opposite this mall.

Have you ever been to Platinum Fashion Mall? Did you enjoy shopping there? Share your experience with me in the comments!
Sometimes when I go to The Platinum Fashion Mall and I take the BTS to Chidlom I cut through Gaysorn Plaza. It’s A/C and easier to walk through. I’m also going from the very high end products to, well……more economically friendly prices!
The Platinum Fashion Mall
Umm… I have never walked that path before. Maybe because products in Gaysorn Plaza is too expensive for me. haha 🙂
Hi,
Can I try clothes and shoes before shopping in Bangkok if no then how I can measure my size?
For shoes, usually you can try them before buying them.
For clothes, it depends. Usually in the shopping malls, there will be fitting rooms and you can try the clothes. However, for the shops in the market, mostly they do not have a fitting room for the customer and do not allow customers to try the clothes.
Gaysorn Plaza is too expensive for me as well. I only “window shop” when I walk through there on my way to Platinum Fashion Mall or other places.
Hi. i just found your article and thank you because it is really helpful for me to consider to go to this mall or not.
Furthermore, may i know how to go to SabX2 Wanton Noodles from this mall? i heard this wanton noodles is nearby this mall? Or is there another way to reach this wanton noodle? 🙂
Thank you so much!
I have never been to SabX2 wonton noodles before. I searched from the google map and found that it is not far from The Platinum Fashion Mall like you said. From the mall, you have to cross the street. I recommend you to take the footbridge. Then, walk to Soi Petchaburi 19. It is only 4-minute walk from the mall.

Hi Wannee,
Thanks for the site it has provided me with a lot of information for my upcoming trip! Would appreciate if you could help me with some queries!
1.) May I know what time do the stores normally open? I plan to reach the mall by 10am would that be ideal?
2.) Other than the mall’s food, do you have any recommendations for lunch/dinner nearby the mall?
Thank you so much!
Hi Tham,
Thanks for visiting my site.
1. 10am should be fine. Even if I always be there around 11am or later, but I believe that the shops are open before 10am.
2. Sorry, I’m not familiar with the food stalls around there, but in the mall, there are also other restaurants near the mall’s food court. See link below for the details. I do recommend Yum Saap.
