Timeline or Timeline Letter Memory is a Thai romantic drama movie that was released in 2014. The movie stars Jirayu Tangsrisuk, Jarinporn Joonkiat, Piyathida Woramusik, and Nopachai Chaiyanam.
Timeline is about Matt, a single mother raising Tan, her son, alone. She owns a strawberry farm in northern Thailand. One day Tan leaves for Bangkok in order to study in the university. Matt is surprised with his choice and has to struggle alone with financial problem, while Tan enjoys his new life in Bangkok.
In the university, Tan gets to know June, and then they become close friends. While June has a crush on Tan, Tan has a crush on another girl named Orn. While June knows herself and what she wants in life, Tan does not.
Some said this movie is a sequel of ‘The Letter’, one of the best Thai movies, but some said it is not. For me, even if the names of the characters in Timeline are not the same as the ones in The Letter, but they have very similar background. Before watching Timeline, you can try watching ‘The Letter’ first.
After watching Timeline, I was a bit disappointed. The movie was not as good as I expected. Some parts of the movie look not realistic. While Piyathida and Jarinporn did really great job in this movie, Jirayu did not.
What I like most for this movie might be many beautiful scenes in the movie. Some scenes were shot in Japan and made me want to go to Japan.
Well, even if it was not that good, it brought tears to my eyes. So, if you are going to watch it, prepare some tissues!
Here is an official movie trailer without subtitle from Sahamongkol Film, a company that produces this movie.
I cannot find the official trailer with English subtitle of this movie from Sahamongkol Film, but I found it from a channel of a fan of Jirayu. Enjoy watching!
