Torranee Ni Nee Krai Krong… a Thai romantic comedy lakorn

Torranee Ni Nee Krai Krong is a Thai romantic comedy lakorn that originally aired in 2012 on Channel 3. The lakorn stars Nadech Kugimiya, Urassaya Sperbund (Yaya), Duangta Toongkamanee, and Daraneenuch Pohpiti (Top).

Torranee Ni Nee Krai Krong can be translated as “Who own this land?” in English. The story is about Arthit and Darunee. Arthit is an agriculture graduate. Instead of working as a government employee, he decides to do farming. So, his farther sent him to work at his grandmother’s farm. Grandmother Daeng welcomed him because all her children do not want to do farming and left the land. Arthit works hard and soon he becomes Daeng’s favorite grandchildren. Living in this land, not only hard work, but Arthit has to deal with problems from Darunee, a high-school girl who is an adopted child of Daeng. Darunee is afraid that he will steal love from Daeng. Years later, Daeng passes away. In the will, she assigned Arthit to take care of her property and be Darunee’s guardian.

Darunee is growing up and she started to understand Arthit more. She knows that he puts a lot of effort to develop the land. They help each other to solve the problems in the farm. The relationship between them is getting better. However, the story does not end easily. They both do not know what their hearts need.

This lakorn was built based on a novel once in 1998, so this is the second version. I watched both versions and I like both of them. For me, the second version is more beautiful in terms of natural scenes. The teaching from grandmother Daeng can be used in the real life. Nadech and Yaya are so cute together. Besides, I also love Top Daraneenuch, a supporting actor who acted as Aunt Kaew. She did a really great job in this lakorn.

If you are finding a romantic comedy lakorn to watch for relax, I do recommend Torranee Ni Nee Krai Krong. I believe that it is not difficult to find the version with English subtitle on the internet.
