Umathevi Shrine in Bangkok

Umathevi Shrine is one of the eight shrines and spiritual attractions in the Ratchaprasong shopping district in Bangkok. The shrine is known as the Goddess of Compassion. Visitors that seek luck, success, and strength in family matters would worship at her shrine to pay respects.

I by chance walked through the R Walk (Ratchaprasong Skywalk) and saw the sign.

The photo below was taken from the skywalk.

In front of the shrine, there were signs telling the visitor how to pay respect to the shrine, and also what not to leave as offerings.

To worship, prepare 10 joss sticks and marigold/ red rose.

Do not leave meat, thorn fruits, female clothes as offerings.

While paying respect to the shrine, take off your shoes. And, please note that woman on period is not allowed to worship.
