Wat Leng Noei Yi 2… a giant Chinese Buddhist temple

Wat Borom Raja Kanchanapisek Anusorn, known as Wat Leng Noei Yi 2 is the Chinese Buddhist temple in Nonthaburi province. This temple is quite new; it was officially opened in 2008. Don’t be confused. This temple is not Wat Leng Noei Yi 1 or Wat Mangkon Kamalawat which is located at Yaovarat or Bangkok’s Chinatown. Wat Leng Noei Yi 1 is older, but smaller than Wat Leng Noei Yi 2.

Wat Leng Noei Yi 2 was built in 1996 and it took 12 years to complete. The Chinese architecture and objects such as sculptures, statues, and paintings attract people to go there. Since this temple is a Chinese temple, you will see that red color is a main color.

Even if this temple is located in Nonthaburi province, it is not far from Bangkok. My friends and I were there by my friend’s car in the late afternoon. If you want to go there, you can make it as a day trip from Bangkok.
