Weather in Bangkok, Thailand in April, 2016
Today is the last day of April. I am writing this post so as to tell you how the weather in Bangkok, Thailand in April 2016 was. I believe you can use it as a reference to prepare and pack stuffs for a trip to Bangkok.
As you may know, April is the hottest month in Thailand. Usually it is extremely hot and the temperature could go up to 40 degrees Celsius. I usually try not to walk on the streets or anywhere outside the buildings. The places that we usually go during this month are shopping malls.
For April 2016, the weather was, as expected, very hot. I can say that it was the hottest year ever. Almost every day the temperature went up to 35 degrees Celsius or higher. We were sweltering from the weather. It rained one day in this month, but just a little while. Then we suffering from the heat again. The weather triggered headaches, so I tried not to go outside during the day.
I myself do not recommend you guys to travel to Bangkok on April. Well, if you would like to join the Songkran festival (or water splash festival), be well prepared. Water is a must to carry to anywhere you go. Sunscreen and umbrella as well. Here, in Bangkok, we use umbrella to protect us not only from the rain, but also from the sunshine. Put on lightweight clothing. Besides, you should start your days early and plan to stay inside the building in the afternoon.
Enjoy traveling Bangkok!
Hi Wannee,
It’s great to see your weather update. I and my friend will travel Bangkok next week. We come from Vietnam where its weather is in the same situation, very hot and no raining even a drop.
I travel to Thailand twice so this time, I would like to experience local places. Well, your blog did a good job and bring me more many exciting information. Thank you so much Wannee.
Hope you continue with this and achieve your goals (better English as same as me).
