April is about to pass and now I am writing this post to tell you how the weather in Bangkok, Thailand in April 2018 was. Hopefully it helps anyone who plan to visit Bangkok in April to prepare themselves and stuffs.
In Thailand, April is in summer season, and it is known that April is the hottest month of the year here. In Bangkok, many years the temperature rises up to 40 degrees Celsius. I usually try to stay in an AC building. For me, April is the worst month to wander around in Bangkok
For April 2018, the weather fluctuated. In the beginning of the month, it rained and the temperature dropped to less than 25 degrees Celsius. At that time, I was really surprised because we have never had the nice weather like this in April before. Then on the second week of April, the temperature raised up to 35 degrees Celsius. We had a long public holiday from April 13th to April 16, and I tried not to go outside especially during in the afternoon. Then, on the third week of April, it rained for few days again and the weather became nice. And after that, it was sunny. In short, I would say that April this year is not that hot because of rain that fell every other week.
If you plan to visit Bangkok in April, don’t forget to bring water with you everywhere you go. It is easy to buy a bottle of water in Bangkok; you can find it at convenience stores which can be found on every street corners and are open 24 hours a day. Don’t forget to apply sun protection cream before going outside. The sunlight in Bangkok is really strong. Many women here use umbrella to protect sunlight; you can do so. And try to start your trip as early as possible. Wander to temples in the morning and visit shopping malls (or places that have AC) in the afternoon.
Happy traveling Bangkok!
