What to do alone in Bangkok

Bangkok is a big city that offers several activities to visitors. If you are a solo traveler who are going to visit this city alone and finding activities that you can do alone in this city, you have come to the right place. I live in Bangkok and many times I enjoy going outside alone. In this post, I intend to share you the activities that you can enjoy on your own while wandering around Bangkok. Hope it helps.

Go Shopping

Bangkok is a shopping paradise in Asia. You can find shopping malls and markets around the town. If you want to buy international products, just go to the shopping malls. Or if you want to buy cheap products and negotiate or bargain the price with the sellers, just go to the markets. If you love shopping, you can spend weeks in Bangkok. You can see the shopping places in Bangkok that I have visited in this blog category.

Explore the city by foot

Bangkok is not a great city for walking because of the weather. However, on a good day you can get to know this city by foot. You can see the recommended walking street in Bangkok here.

Visit parks

Parks are around in the city. You can choose the parks that can be reached by BTS Skytrain or MRT Subway such as Lumpini Park, Benjasiri Park, or Benjakitti Park. The parks are usually crowded in the morning and in the evening. Since Bangkok is hot and humid all year long, I do not recommend you to go to the parks in the afternoon. Visit historical sites

You can spend time with palaces and temples around the town in order to learn the history of Bangkok and also Thailand. For me, The Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew are must-see places in Bangkok. You can see the palaces and the temples in Bangkok that I have visited in this blog category.

There are art galleries around the town. Some of them are big, while some of them are small. The biggest one is Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC) which is located at Pathumwan Intersection. You can go there by BTS Skytrain. The art galleries in Bangkok that I have visited can be found in this blog category.
