Bangkok is the city that has bars, restaurants and night clubs all over the town. Silom, Sukhumvit Road, and Khao San Road are the great areas that you can find them. If you do not like party and do not want to go to these places, Bangkok also offers other activities. In this post, I would recommend you what other things to do in Bangkok at night. Hope it gives you some ideas to spend night time in Bangkok.
Do a dinner cruise – This is one of the popular activities. You will enjoy Thai dance and foods while cruising along Chao Phraya River, the major river in Thailand which flows through Bangkok. It is a great way to see Bangkok’s riverside landmarks such as Wat Arun, Wat Pra Kaew, and The Grand Palace at night.
Visit Asiatique – Asiatique is an open air mall with the river views, and the views at night are so beautiful. There are many restaurants and shops, so you can enjoy dinner and shopping at the same place. You can read my review of Asiatique here.
Eat Street food – The most popular and biggest place to eat street food at night is Chinatown (or Yaowarat). You will see many food stalls and you can eat and move from stall to stall. Sukhumvit Soi 38 is another popular street food place at night that can be reached by BTS. Usually the street food at night starts around 18.00 and ends midnight. Well, some stalls are open until early morning, around 2.00-3.00.
Shop at Night markets – There are many night markets in Bangkok, and in recent years, new night markets are increasing in Bangkok more and more. Saphan Phut Night Market is the most popular one for buying cheap stuffs. Onnut Night Market is the one that can be reached by BTS Skytrain. You can choose the one that is near your hostel/ hotel.
