Rachaprasong Area – This is the best and biggest area in town to see Christmas lights. If you come by BTS Skytrain, I recommend you to get off at Ploenchit Station, the Christmas lights start from Central Embassy. Then, you will see the beautiful lights in front of every shopping mall and hotel when walking on the road. You will start seeing more and more people when getting closer to Rachaprasong Intersection. The most crowded areas are in front of Central World Shopping Mall and Siam Paragon. You can see the Christmas last year in this area here.

Ratchadamri Road – From Ploenchit to Rachaprasong Intersection, if you walk straight, you will see Central World Shopping Mall. But if you turn left at Thao Mahaprom Shrine or Erawan Shrine, you will see the lights in front of the hotels. This road is also beautiful.

Asiatique The Riverfront – Asiatique is an open air mall located on the bank of ChaoPhraya River. This place has many shops and restaurants. Usually it is beautiful at night, and it is more beautiful during Christmas. You can read about this mall here.

In front of big shopping malls – Other shopping malls and office buildings in Bangkok also are decorated beautifully such as Mega Bangna and Major Ratchayothin, but it is not as big as at Rachaprasong Area.
